Developer Access Guide

Safely provide your website developer with API credentials without compromising your full account security.

πŸ› οΈ Setup Instructions

By following these steps, you can restrict a third-party developer to only the Developers section of ClientPay.

  1. Open Settings

    • Log in to your ClientPay account.

    • Click your name in the top-right corner.

    • Select Settings from the dropdown menu.

  2. Add a New User

    • Look at the Authorized Users list on the right side of the page.

    • Scroll to the bottom of the list and click the Add Users button.

  3. Configure Permissions

    • Fields: Complete the name and contact details for your developer.

    • Abilities: For third-party developers, check only the Developer box.

    • Account Access: Leave all specific accounts unchecked unless they specifically need access to a test account.

  4. Finalize

    • Click Save Changes.

    • The developer will receive an automated welcome email to set their password and log in.


πŸ§ͺ Working with Test Accounts

If your developer needs to run transaction tests, you may need to provide access to a Test Account.

  • Existing Test Accounts: You can check these off during Step 3.
